Rozanne Barbara Savory is the eldest child of Tony and Rosemary Savory, she was born 10 January 1949 in Moascar (the military camp near the town of Ismailia) in Egypt.
Rozanne attended Kingsley School for Girls, Leamington Spa between 1960 and 1965, followed by Seymour Lodge, Perth, Scotland from 1965-66; finishing with two terms at Le Manoir, La Neuveville, Switzerland, 1966-67.
Rozanne was employed as a PA/Secretary in various companies in London before, at the end of 1972, leaving for a ‘two year’ visit to South Africa (which became 39 years!).
She married Pieter Rossouw, a South African, in September 1973 (divorced 1979). She worked as
PA/Secretary in Cape Town and Johannesburg. In 1981, took a job as receptionist for a private game
lodge near the Kruger National Park, and then spent six years, mostly in Botswana, working in game lodges in the bush in various capacities.
Rozanne returned to Johannesburg in 1987 and began a 15-year period in wildlife conservation (Rhino & Elephant Foundation, SA National Parks) and wild animal welfare (National Council of SPCAS). In
2001, she moved from Johannesburg to Knysna in the Western Cape.
In late 2011, left South Africa to return to the UK to be closer to family. While on holiday in South
Africa in 2015, met Fletcher Jamieson, a Rhodesian, who moved to the UK in 2017. They live near
Lymington in Hampshire.
