Kenneth Douglas Savory

Kenneth was Harry Brown Savory’s illegitimate son, who was a light comedian who performed under the stage name of Kenneth Douglas. He married Grace Lane, who became a leading lady on the London stage. At the time of her death, ‘The Times’ newspaper ascribed her success to her “rare beauty, her striking appearance and her good speaking and singing voice”.

They had two sons, Kenneth Cyril Arnold Barrie Savory and Gerald Henry Douglas Savory.

Kenneth was born in 1876 in Eastbourne, East Sussex and died on 16th October, 1923 in Manhattan, New York City,
