Kenneth Cyril Arnold Barrie

Kenneth Cyril Arnold Barrie was named after Cyril Maude the actor, Dr Arnold of Oxford and the author James Barrie. He was educated privately and at Bradfield College and then trained as a civil engineer. He worked mostly in fields related to the uses of water (irrigation, hydro-electric etc) in the UK, Spain, Chile, Canada, Ecuador and Burma. He retired to British Columbia, Canada.

Kenneth was born on 3rd March 1908 and he married Dorothea Marion Baker (b. 2nd December 1912) on 6th September 1941. He died on 27th December 1984 in British Columbia.

They had two children, Judith ‘Eve’ Thodora (b. 17th February 1948) and adopted Ines Maria (b. 9th January 1956).

Eve Savory was a Canadian journalist.
